Slow-no-wake order lifted from northern portion of Rock River

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office lifts the no wake order for the northern portion of the Rock River.
County ordinance calls for the no wake order to be dropped on the portion of the river downstream from the northern Rock County line, to the Indianford Dam when the river falls bellow 8 feet at Lake Koshkonong.
Currently that portion of the Rock River is at 7.98 feet.
Last month the Sheriff’s Office lifted the speed restriction on the southern portion of the river from Beloit Town Line Road Bridge, to the southern Rock County Line.
Until the gauge at Afton drops bellow 6.5 feet the portion of the river between the Beloit Rock Town Line Road Bridge and the Indianford Dam will remain under a slow no wake order.
