The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office releases the name of the 45-year-old Oregon man killed Sunday afternoon when his vehicle struck a semi in the town of La Prairie.
Joey A. Sanders was traveling westbound in the 4700 block of US Highway 14 just before 3:00 in the afternoon, when he deviated from his lane and struck a semi tanker that was also headed west.
The Medical Examiner’s Office says Sanders died as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
The 54-year-old driver of the semi was uninjured.
The Rock County Sheriff’s Office says Sanders wasn’t wearing his seat belt and alcohol is believed to be a contributing factor in the crash.
