Visit Beloit is sponsoring Beloit International Film Festival Outdoors & Music at Harry’s Place on Friday, June 30 at Riverside Park, located along Riverside Dr. (Hwy 51) between Portland Ave. and Henry Dr.
Music will be provided by Little Vito and Torpedoes, a popular regional band specializing in classic and modern hits, from 7:00-9:00 pm at the Harry C. Moore Pavilion.
During their performance, Kubb demonstrations will be available. Kubb is a Nordic lawn game that consists of knocking over wooden blocks, known as kubbs, by throwing wooden batons at them. Visit Beloit will also be providing a build-your-own trail mix bar!
Food vendors will be available starting at 5:30 pm, or attendees can bring their own food and beverages.
The Mamma Mia! movie and sing-along will start at 9:00 pm on the big lawn (by Jones Pavilion), with free candy courtesy of Impact Confections. Attendees are advised to bring a blanket or lawn chairs.
Both performances are free to the public. The rain date for the movie is Saturday, July 1.
Music at Harry’s Place is a weekly summer concert series most Fridays from June to August, put on by Friends of Riverfront. They offer a variety of music all summer long to sit and listen to while enjoying the beautiful Rock River.
BIFF Outdoors will be showing nine outdoor movies now through September. The full movie schedule can be found on their Facebook page. The Music at Harry’s Place schedule can be found at visitbeloit.com.
