One less student has been expelled from the Janesville School District this year than at this same time last year.
A middle schooler was expelled from school on May 17th for repeated rules violations; a high schooler was expelled May 19th for pushing a district employee; another high school was expelled May 19th for possession of marijuana and drug paraphernalia with the intent to deliver, and a third high schooler was kicked out of school on June first for committing battery on another student.
All four students are eligible for early reinstatement if a number of conditions are met.
This brings the total number of expulsions this school year to 20 compared to 21 at the same time last year.
