Times have changed since State Representative Don Vruwink of Milton grew up on the farm. To reacquaint himself, the Democrat toured several area family farms Monday to learn what legislation might help future farmers succeed in agriculture. Vruwink also suggests legislation be crafted to offer capital gains relief to help farming families afford to pass along their business to the next generation. Vruwink was joined by fellow Agriculture Committee members Representatives Mark Spreitzer of Beloit, and Dave Considine of Baraboo in touring three rural Janesville farms.
