Janesville police are in the midst of a manhunt for 32-year-old Anthony T. Gibson of Beloit. Investigators say he is the primary suspect in the Sunday evening shooting of a 32-year-old Janesville man on North Washington Street. Officers say the victim’s wounds are serious, but he able to talk to them Monday. Investigators say the two confronted each other on the sidewalk before the shooting.
The victim was apparently shot twice, and bullets were also found lodged in a nearby house and car.
Police recovered multiple shell casings from the scene. Police say the victim and Gibson know each other and have had interactions in the past. Police have not released any known motive in the case.
