Town of Beloit retailers dealing in tobacco products appear to be following the law when it comes to selling to minors. Police say in cooperation with Youth2Youth, they checked five tobacco vendors Wednesday using underage operatives. Officials say none of the vendors sold to the kids. The police department is using the opportunity to encourage all tobacco vendors to be diligent in checking ID’s. They say providing a safe environment for the community is a team effort.
