Janesville City Council considers increasing fees for certain programs and services

Officials with the City of Janesville work to cover the costs of providing certain services and programs.
Assistant to the City Manager Max Gagin says each year City staff take stock of what residents are being charged for things like building permits to bike licenses.
Gagin says he recommends the City Council increase a number of fees in the 2018 budget. The council will consider those increases when they meet at 6:00 on Monday night.
Some of the suggested increases include five dollars for renting popular park pavilions, 25 cents for Rockport Pool admission, and 50 cents for public skate rental.
