Milton School Board to consider possible referendum

The Milton School Board may not have made any decision on another building referendum after last November’s failed $87-million question, but they appear to be taking alternatives seriously. The board has a special meeting Monday night to consider nothing but a potential referendum. The discussion is expected to center around reducing the anticipated costs of improvements. The architects and construction firm is expected to offer a representation including reduced costs of $17-million. District Administrator Tim Schigur says whether those reductions mean the district will eventually go to a $70-million dollar referendum will be up to the school board.
