More than one hotel chain is planning to build in Beloit. City Planning Director Drew Pennington says the latest is a Home2 Suites Hotel by Hilton. The new hotel is expected to have more than 100 rooms. The city is also expected to approve site plans within the month for a 124 room Holiday Inn Express to be built on Ford Street. Pennington says Beloit’s proximity to business, venues, and the Interstate is part of its’ attraction. He says construction could begin on both yet this year.
