A local state representative is calling President Trump’s plans to ban transgender solders short sighted and bigoted. Democrat Mark Spreitzer of Beloit says Wednesday’s Tweet caught him by surprise, especially says the President had expressed support for the LGBT community during the campaign. Spreitzer says love of country and sense of duty do not change based on one’s gender identity. He also says it also calls into question the future of thousands of service members.
