No question anymore about the identity of a body recovered Tuesday morning from the Rock River in Janesville. The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Office says it is 21-year-old Dakota R. Giese of Janesville. Police say it appears Giese approached the shore near Mercy Hospital and Trauma Center while walking with a friend along the Ice Age trail early Saturday night, and fell in the water. His body was found in the water close to the 500 block of South River Road. The investigation is still open, but the medical examiner and police say foul play is not suspected.
