Beloit police are investigating a death discovered during a Thursday morning fire. Firefighters were called to the the 2500 block of Shopiere Road at 5:36 a.m. for a residential fire. First responders found the fire in the basement level of the single story residential home. Police say the victim was found dead from an apparent self inflicted gun shot wound.
