The death of a 23-year-old Janesville man who went missing last November and was found in the Rock River in January is classified as a suicide.
Janesville Police say the Medical Examiner’s report says that Jordan White died of drowning, although he had high amounts of drugs found in over-the-counter cough medicine in his system.
While white didn’t leave a note, he did have at least one other previous suicide attempt.
Janesville Police Lietenant Terry Sheridan says he interprets the report as saying suicide can’t be ruled out as White’s intent, but he was impaired to such an extent whatever caused him to enter the river, the result would have been death.
Police do not know where White entered the river.
He was seen leaving his south-side home on his bicycle.
