Several Democrats on the Assembly’s Agriculture committee spend the day touring operations in Rock and Green County. Ranking member Dave Considine of Baraboo admits the tour is political, because Democrats aren’t always viewed as supportive of business. Steve Stettler with Decatur Dairy appreciated the stop, saying anything legislators can do for the industry is helpful. Legislators on the tour included Janis Ringhand of Evansville, Don Vruwink of Milton, and Mark Spreitzer of Beloit. Stops on the agenda also included Luety Aquafarms in Beloit, Larson Acres in Evansville, and Green Fire Farm in Monticello.
