Deputies with the Rock County Sheriff’s Office may enjoy National Night Out almost as much as the public they serve. Sergeant Troy Egger says officers appreciate meeting the public when nothing bad has occurred. Egger says for the first time, the sheriff’s office is partnering with the Edgerton police department to present the free annual picnic complete with demonstrations, activities, and community vendor booths. The event runs from 5:00 til 8:00 Tuesday night at Racetrack Park. Janesville and Beloit police are also holding special events.
