Janesville home invasion suspect released

New evidence is causing a delay in the trial for one of the men accused in a violent Janesville home invasion.  19-year-old Keyon M. McEachin was charged with armed robbery, false imprisonment, and criminal damage to property after a group of masked men forced their way into a Janesville home in January of 2016.  McEachin was scheduled for trial Monday, but during an appearance in Rock County Court Wednesday prosecutors say new evidence has come to light which must be shared with the defense.  As a result, McEachin, was released from jail on a signature bond.  One of the other men accused in the case, 23-year-old Damien S. Hewlett has already been sentenced to 21-and-a-half years in prison for his role in the home invasion.
