Sheriff Spoden announced the continued partnership of The Rock County Sheriff’s Office, the Special Olympics of Wisconsin and Dunkin Donuts for their “Cop on a Rooftop” event. This year’s event will be held on Friday, August 11th, 2017 from 6:00am-11:00am at the Janesville Dunkin Donuts Stores located at 2121 Milton Avenue and 1905 Center Avenue.
Sheriff’s Office personnel, along with other local law enforcement officers, will be positioned on the rooftop and outside the store at both locations to accept donations, with all proceeds going to support the Special Olympics of Wisconsin Athletes. With each donation, Dunkin Donuts will give a coupon for a free medium hot or iced coffee. Dunkin Donuts will also be donating $5,000 to Special Olympics at the end of the event.
This is the 5th year the Rock County Sheriff’s Office has participated in this event. With the help of all who donated during last year’s event, the Rock County Sheriff’s Office was able to raise over $2,000 for Special Olympics. To date, the Sheriff’s Office has raised over $20,000 for Special Olympics of Wisconsin since 2013.
