A Tuesday night search of the Rock River in Beloit turns up nothing. A 911 call, about someone going into the water off the Newark Road Bridge about 6:00 o’clock Tuesday night prompted a wide spread response. The Beloit Police Swift Water Rescue team, along with the Janesville Fire Department and Rock County Sheriff’s Office Dive teams were called out. They searched the waters well after dark. Nothing was found. It’ll be up to the Town of Beloit Police Department to decide if the search should continue.
