A 51-year-old Edgerton man, and 16-year-old Fort Atkinson boy are dead after an ultra-light plane crash. The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office says the plane took off from the Fort Atkinson Airport and for unknown reasons was forced to land in the Rock River along County Highway K in the Town of Jefferson. Deputies say when first responders arrived a little after 8:00 o’clock Tuesday night, the plane was almost completely submerged. The two occupants were unconscious. Lifesaving attempts were unsuccessful. The investigation continues.
