Friends show support for injured 18-year-old

Tragedy can happen anywhere, anytime. Max Rammer of Janesville’s father Doug learned that all to suddenly last week Monday.  Max dove into a swimming pool and broke his neck.  Max’s injury is extensive, but as Doug quickly learned, so is the support of the recent Craig High School graduate’s large circle of friends.  Max’s young friends are using social media to raise awareness, they’re learning about spinal chord injuries, and organizing fund raisers. One such example will be the selling of green wristbands Friday night at the Craig High school’s home football game. Green is the awareness color for spinal chord injuries much like pink is for breast cancer.   A fundraising BBQ is also planned Saturday from noon til 4:00 at Blackhawk Community Credit Union on East Milwaukee Street in Janesville. Rammer is currently undergoing therapy in Chicago.
