Local State Senator disapproves of State budget

The state budget shortchanges the hardworking people of Wisconsin in favor of the wealthy and well healed special interest groups according to State Senator Janis Ringhand of Evansville.  The Democrat says the budget, approved by the Senate Friday, fails to restore school funding, provide a long term funding solution to fix roads, or protect health care for vulnerable residents.   The budget passed in the State Senate Friday on a 19-to-14 vote with Democrats unsuccessfully proposing 17 amendments. The bill now heads to the Governor’s desk.
