A new elementary and expanded middle-high school is being planned for the Beloit Turner School District. The school board Monday night voted 5-1 to move forward in developing a referendum question. The question would total close to $27-million. Plans include a fabrication laboratory for the middle-high school and additional technical education workshops. The plan would also close Townview Elementary and reconfigure Powers Elementary to house early childhood through first grade. The new school would house grades two through five. The board is expected to approve wording of the question next month, and place it on the April ballot.
