Two local city council members are participating in an unusual food drive. Janesville Craig High School graduate Jens Jorgensen has placed a wager with Beloit Memorial High School graduate Clinton Anderson to promote food donations in advance of Friday night’s football game. The two will be at the game between Beloit Memorial and Janesville Craig collecting donations for the winning city’s local food pantries. Food donation sites are also set up at the Dairy Queen and Park City Family Restaurant in Janesville, and the public library and Culvers in Beloit. The council members will also be at the game collecting donations. As a side bet, the losing council members will have to wear the other team’s colored tie at their next city meeting.
