Janesville fire fighters get a lesson in “Duty, Pride, and Tradition”

Janesville’s fire department might be a little on the young side. Close to half the personnel have signed-on in the last five years. Friday a couple of old timers from Chicago came by to offer all the fire fighters a little lesson in “Duty, Pride, and Tradition”.  75-year-old Eddie Enright knows a little bit about the topic. He’s a third-generation firefighter with the Chicago Fire Department, retiring as a Deputy District Chief after 38 years on the job. He’s also an adjunct field instructor , Vietnam veteran, and now motivational speaker.   He’s toured the country with fellow retiree Jack McCastland giving the motivational, and often comical presentation.
