The Rock County Medical Examiner’s Department has released the name of the woman who died in a fatal single vehicle automobile crash Friday afternoon. The medical examiner says 20-year-old Mikayla Marie Werner of Janesville was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash in the 800 block of Highway 14. A preliminary forensic examination confirmed the death was the result of injuries from the crash. Additional testing is underway. The Janesville Police Department and medical examiner’s office are continuing to investigate. Police say Werner was alone in the car.
