Orfordville’s yard waste disposal site is apparently very popular. Public Works Director Carl Stuvengen says so much yard waste is being dumped by non-residents, the village has had to hire outside contractors to grind it into mulch. He says another problem is people are dumping off their bulky waste. He says people are leaving items including tires, toilets, and other large items. As a result, the village has installed a gate, and will soon be limiting access to weekends and Mondays. If that doesn’t work, Stuvengen says they’ll consider security cameras or hiring an attendant.
