Janesville felon sentenced to a year in jail for possessing firearm

A Janesville man who was charged with possession with intent to deliver THC and possession of a firearm by a felon takes a plea deal in Rock County Court.
Judge John Wood accepted a guilty plea on the gun charge and dismissed the drug charge against 22-year-old Cody Odom (Wednesday) afternoon.
Odom was sentenced to a year in the Rock County Jail with Huber privileges.
According to the criminal complaint, Odom took the gun Sundiata M. Roach is accused of using to shoot at a vehicle and gave it and some marijuana to his mother to hide in her storage unit. Thanks to a tip, police were waiting at the storage unit when she arrived.
