State Department of Workforce Development Secretary Ray Allen is pushing the idea of careers in manufacturing to area high school students. Allen highlighted growing opportunities to hundreds of students gathered Friday morning at Blackhawk Technical College’s Advanced Manufacturing Training Center in Milton. Allen says the goal is to help narrow the current skills gap facing manufacturers across the state.
