Four new business ventures in Evansville are expected to fit well into the city’s “Smart Growth” plan. Community Development Director Jason Sergeant says new investments reflect efforts by the city to attract a contemporary mixture of retail and residential. Developments recently approved by the planning commission include a combination residential and retail project on Brown School Road, resurrecting the burned out Night Owl Food and Spirits downtown, and expansion for Casey’s General Store, and a new subdivision on the city’s west side.
