A Beloit police officer and Winnebego County Sheriff’s Deputy are injured during a simple traffic stop involving a 25-year-old woman, with a one-year-old child in the car. Beloit police say drugs were suspected and Winnebago County’s K9 was requested for the traffic stop about 6:30 Sunday night on Harvey Street. Officers say the woman cased a commotion and the two officers suffered minor injuries. The woman was arrested on charges including two-counts of battery to an officer.
