Warrant sweep nets several arrests

The Rock County Sheriff’s Office makes a special effort to raise awareness about the problems associated with family and domestic violence.  Officials say deputies attempted to execute 42 warrants Thursday as part of the National Family Violence Apprehension Detail.  Deputies say 12 active arrest warrants were cleared, and eight suspects were taken to the Rock County Jail.  The sheriff’s office says the warrant sweep is intended to serve notice to scofflaws and serious offenders alike that law enforcement will hold them accountable for their antisocial and illegal conduct.
