(Gazette photo)  The City of Janesville is finding success with a new leaf vacuum truck.  Parks Director Cullen Slapak says it’s the first year for the city to use this new method for leaf collection.  Slapak says the method should eventually keep more leaves out of the storm sewer system and help with the city’s DNR permits.  He says regular leaf collection is also going on.  His department has also been calls about people concerned about the amount of leaves which haven’t fallen from the trees.  He reminds them, a bagged pick-up will still occur the first week of December.
