Plans for two new hotels in Janesville could boost the local economy according to the director of the Janesville Convention and Visitors Bureau. Christine Rebout tells Your Talk Show on WCLO a new hotel hasn’t been built in the city in 20-years.  Rebout says Janesville hotels are currently running at about 80-percent occupancy in the summer months, and that means the Convention and Visitors Bureau is turning visitors, and their money, away.  The city council has already given preliminary approval for a Cobbleston Hotel downtown, and a Marriott Town Place Suites near the former Menards along Pontiac Drive.
