A local community is finally getting a new police chief. Dave Wickstrum retired last April, and the Orfordville Village board has been looking for a suitable permanent replacement ever since. They didn’t have to go far. The Deputy Police Chief in nearby Brodhead, Brian Raupp, is expected to take the job. Raupp’s been on the beat in Brodhead for 20-years. He’s expected to start his new duties in Orfordville the day after New Year’s.
