A local community’s move to enact a wheel tax appears to be working as planned. Milton City Administrator Al Hulick says these dollars were used for the first time to complete three projects in this fall’s roadway improvement program. The city started collecting about $15,000 a month in April of this year. Hulick says the money is “absolutely critical” because the state continually reduces transportation aid.
