Janesville and Beloit enjoy another month of diminishing unemployment rates. The Department of Workforce Development reports Beloit’s October rate dropped .3%, to 3.6%, compared to the month before, and is down from 5.1% a year ago. In Janesville, the rate is down .2% from September, to 3.2%. That’s down a full-point from a year ago. Janesville and Beloit’s experience is reflected statewide. The DWD adds rates decreased or remained the same in all of the state’s 32 largest cities.
