The City of Janesville is pleased to announce the return of its popular three day holiday festival, Janesville’s Jolly Jingle, December 1-3, 2017, held in various locations throughout Janesville’s quaint downtown.
This festive holiday event will feature more than thirty fun and affordable family holiday activities designed to lift your holiday spirit, including several chances to meet Santa, an opportunity to visit with his elves and live reindeer, shopping at Christkindl and holiday markets, a magical lighted parade, a dazzling fireworks display and more (see attached event list).
“From the spectacular lighted parade and fireworks to indoor ice skating with Santa, a hand bell concert, theatrical performances of A Christmas Carol, shopping opportunities and the rest of the events and activities, guests will find a variety of ways to make merry at this year’s Jolly Jingle,” said Rene Bue, Jolly Jingle Event Organizer and Programming and Outreach Coordinator at the Hedberg Public Library. “In addition to the many returning activities there will also be several new ones such as the Holiday Art Show and Sale by the Janesville Art League, the Jingle Jangle Sing Along at the Janesville Performing Arts Center, Lights of Love at SSM Health: Dean St. Mary’s, holiday concerts and sing-a-longs at Voigt Music Center, and Christmas with the Tallmans-Adults Only at the Rock County Historical Society. It’s a great chance to celebrate the warmth of the season with family and friends while making new holiday memories and traditions. An added benefit is that it is budget friendly with many of the events being free or low cost.”
The 2017 event is a partnership with the City of Janesville-Recreation Division, Downtown Janesville, Inc, Hedberg Public Library, the Janesville Farmers Market, Voigt Music Center, the Janesville Area Convention & Visitors Bureau, Olde Towne Mall, Janesville Performing Arts Center, Rock County Historical Society and Dean/St. Mary’s Hospital.
