The Orfordville Fire Department and local boy scouts are working together to help feed hungry Parkview School District students. Fire Captain Steve Ryan says the food drive, which is in its fourth year, has grown in popularity. The effort supports the school districts backpack program where food is sent home with students on weekends, to ensure they have something to eat when they’re not at school. Ryan expects one-thousand pounds of food will be collected as the scout go door-to-door this coming Monday night.
