Janesville firefighters are investigating the cause of a blaze in a two-story, multi-unit, residential building on the corner of East Holmes Street and South Parker Drive. Fire Chief Randy Banker says firefighters arrived a little before 9:00 o’clock Wednesday morning to find smoke coming from the second floor. Banker says firefighters attacked the fire on the second floor. He says Janesville police officers helped evacuate residents. One resident was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
