High cash bail set for Janesville homicide suspect

ail is set at a half million dollars for the 21-year-old homeless man who police say stabbed a Janesville woman to death last month.
It was the exact amount prosecutor Scott Dirks argued for at Julian D. Collazo’s initial appearance in Rock County Court Wednesday afternoon.
Collazo is charged with first degree intentional homicide.
According to the criminal complaint, the known gang member was apprehended just hours after 43-year-old Christine Scaccia-Lubeck was found with more than 30 stab wounds. At the time of his arrest, Collazo was driving the victim’s stolen vehicle.
Collazo is due back in court January 10th at 3:00 p.m.
