The end of an era of sorts for a fabled Janesville company. A well known remnant of Parker Pen is about to slip into history. Parker Community Credit Union announced that as of Monday, it will change its signs to officially become Educators Credit Union. The move comes after Parker Community Credit Union member-owners voted in August to approve a merger with Educators Credit Union. The credit union was established by Parker Pen employees in the mid-1930s and outlived Parker Pen’s presence in Janesville. Parker Community Credit Union operates locations in Janesville, Milton and Beloit.
