A Rock County Judge denies 32-year-old Joseph Jakubowski’s motion to have his trial moved.
Judge James Daley says he hasn’t had any trouble finding unbiased juries in the past.
Daley says he’s bring in an extra large pool of potential jurors and if an unbiased jury cannot be found he’ll have no choice but to move the trial or look outside the county for jurors.
Jakubowski is charged in Rock County with burglary, theft, and possession of burglary tools. He’s accused of breaking into Armageddon Supply in Janesville last April and stealing dozens of firearms before going off the grid. He’s already been convicted of related charges in federal court.
His trial is scheduled to begin January 29th.
