Without directly criticizing the Town of Beloit’s filing this week for incorporation as a village, officials with the Greater Beloit Economic Development Corporation are making their displeasure known about the town’s decision to withdraw from their organization. GBEDC Director Andrew Janke would welcome the town’s return, fearing its’ recent actions will foster unproductive competition within the region.     Town of Beloit Administrator Ian Haas tendered his resignation from the GBEDC a little more than a month ago, saying the partnership was not mutually beneficial to the town, but he was more than happy to be of any personal assistance.
