Gander Outdoors, formerly known as Gander Mountain, is celebrating the opening of its new Janesville store this Saturday. Company officials say the newly branded store will occupy the former Gander Mountain location on Deerfield Drive. The store is expected to employ 55 full-and-part-time employees. Camping World, which owns Gander Outdoors, bought Gander Mountain out of bankruptcy in 2017. It closed the bulk of Gander Mountain’s stores nationwide and rebranded many of them as Gander Outdoors. Officials add the Janesville store is one of eleven Gander Outdoor locations planned in the state and the company has seen an overwhelming positive response to the Janesville location opening.
