The City of Janesville is planning a complete reconstruction of one of the downtown’s major thoroughfares. Senior Engineer Matt McGrath says a community engagement forum is planned to share details of a project which will completely redo West Milwaukee Street from Center Avenue to River Street. Those ideas include new pavement, sidewalks, lighting, and streetscaping. The community engagement forum is set form 5:00 til 6:00 Tuesday night at city hall on the fourth floor. The project is slated to begin in two years.
