Two people are dead, one critical, and three others injured, after a weekend accident on I43 near Clinton. The State Patrol says three vehicles were involved in the accident about 3:00 a-m Sunday. Investigators say a southbound SUV was traveling slowly or stopped in the right lane with its hazard lights flashing. A semi driver didn’t see them and sideswiped the SUV before rolling on its’ side in the ditch, and leaving the trailer stretched across both southbound lanes. A pick-up then crashed into the semi-trailer. Both the dead, and the critically injured person, were in the pick-up. Three people in the SUV were also hurt.
