A teacher at the Beloit Learning Academy charter school is accused of sexually assaulting a student in the classroom.
25-year-old JaRon K. DuBose turned himself into the Beloit Police Department and was taken into custody Tuesday morning.
According to a news release, the investigation into DuBose began in November of 2017 when a student divulged that she had been sexually assaulted in a classroom at Beloit LEarning Academy when she was 14-year-old in December of 2016.
The Beloit Police Department investigated that allegations and forwarded the results to the Rock County District Attorney’s office in December of 2017.
Th case was re-opened this month when additional evidence was provided that supported that allegation against DuBose.
The School District of Beloit’s website lists DuBose’s position as academic support.
The School District of Beloit did not respond to calls for comment prior to the publishing of this report.
