The City of Janesville’s unemployment rate reaches a record low.
U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics data released Wednesday indicates the preliminary December 2017 unemployment rate of two-point-seven percent is a new low for any month on current record.
Rock County’s unemployment rate of two-point-eight percent for December of 2017 also set a new record low.
In all, half of Wisconsin’s 12 metro areas, 18 of the state’s largest municipalities and 48 counties either tied or set new record December low unemployment rates.
