Jospeh Jakubowski trial begins in Rock County

A large number of potential jurors are sworn in for the Rock County Court case of 32-year-old Joseph Jakubowski who’s accused in last April’s burglary of a Janesville gun store.  Jakubowski’s case gained national attention following the disclosure of a lengthy manifesto sent to the President which prompted a massive ten-day manhunt. Potential jurors were asked a variety of questions ranging from any possible associations with prosecutors or the defense, or the ability to impartially judge Jakubowski. Ultimate 12 jurors and two alternates were chosen. Opening arguments and testimony got underway Monday afternoon.  A federal judge has already sentenced Jakubowski to 14-years in the case.
